Alpha Psi Traditions
When New Members go through our process, each member becomes apart of a family tree. At Alpha Psi, there are 8 families in total. Each family has their own traditions and emblems. The new members will learn more about their respective family during the Big and Little retreat.
The purpose of the family trees are to allow the sisters to have a Big and serve as their mentor, but also become apart of another family within the sisterhood.
Another aspect of the Alpha Psi Chapter is New Member Celebration. At the end of the new member process, sisters have the option to have a New Member Celebration. The NM Celebration is intended to unveil and welcome the newest sisters into the Multicultural Greek community at Oregon State University.
Throughout the school year, the chapter has various sisterhood events. Towards the end of the school year, there is an annual sisterhood retreat. It is a way for sisters to relax and connect with the active as well as the alumnae.
